H-Block® is a patented, structural insulating panel (SIP) made of polyurethane foam enclosed in a box structure and permanently connected to an OSB wood-based cladding
The SIP is an example of energy-saving and pro-ecological building materials of the highest quality, which are based on the experience of European and American markets. The boards are not harmful to health and do not contain any dangerous asbestos, glass or mineral fibres. The H-Block® system is both a construction and a protective material.
The lightweight but very durable H-Block® is a material for the construction of load bearing walls, ceilings, roofs, and floors in single-family and multi-family residential buildings and even commercial/public buildings. Although it is primarily used as a load-bearing element, it can also be used as infill member in timber, steel, or reinforced concrete structure. At the same time, the H-Block® is an industry leading thermal insulator, and therefore – the perfect material for the construction of energy-efficient and passive buildings.
Closed-cell polyurethane foam, which is the core of the H-Block® panel, is an insulating material with the highest thermal resistance among industrially available building insulation materials. It is also resistant to most organic solvents, acids, alkalis, insects, rodents, fungi, moulds, water and temperatures up to 230°C. It does not change its insulating properties over time, does not age or absorb moisture. In combination with OSB and the box structure, it is a very strong composite material, enabling the safe transfer of loads of building walls up to 4 storeys, the arrangement of beamless ceilings and the construction of self-supporting roofs or with a roof truss reduced to a minimum.
The H-Block® system is manufactured on a production line in strictly controlled factory conditions, which ensures its high quality, allows for adaptation to an individual architectural design, and makes the construction process independent of the weather. The panels are suitably hard and stable and are also characterised by high durability. Thanks to its unique mechanical properties, H-Block® is used in the construction of walls, ceilings and floors, as well as roofs. It provides durability and strength that exceeds traditional methods of creating roofs or walls and also guarantees impact protection. The structural insulation panel is a versatile application, and the simplicity of assembly shortens the construction time of a given project – this information is particularly important in the case of renovation.
As a result, the H-Block® creates a very simple, durable and energy-efficient construction system that allows for reducing not only investment costs, but above all operating costs of the building. The offer includes two types of boards: H-Block® and H-BlockPLUS®.
