Thermont®plus – Roof Panel

Thermont®plus – Roof Panel

Thermont®<small>plus</small> – Roof Panel

This is a finished profile roof panel with a very high insulation coefficient thanks to the high density of PUR foam and reduced thermal bridging.

Thermont® is the classic form of a sandwich panel used in industrial settings, with Solcraft’s patented ThermontPLUS® variant bringing increased performance and ease of use into residential construction.

Thermont® is a polyurethane core board in a two-sheet metal casing, ThermontPLUS® replaces the internal sheet metal roof casing with an OSB board. Thermont® panels are used on roofs in residential and industrial construction – alone or in addition to Thexpan® panels.

Thermont®, in addition to all the features that characterise sandwich panels (i.e. finish, construction and insulation in one), also has a number of other advantages that other manufacturers do not offer. These include:

  • Increased insulation (average core density is 42 kg/m3 and not 32 as in standard sandwich panels)
  • Greater load-bearing capacity of the panel (denser re-profiling and self-locking roof clip)
  • No visible connectors (hidden under the clip)
  • Can be installed on flat roofs (hidden sealing under the clip)
  • Passive connections (hidden sealing under the clip)
  • Completed exterior finish

The special feature of the Thermont® panel is the possibility of installing a roof with a slope of less than 5%. No other system offers such a chance without leaks. Thermont®, thanks to our patented sealing systems and the shape of the roof lock, allows you to seal the connection 100% and cover it with a special closure – a self-locking clip. In this way, neither the connector nor the seal are visible and do not create a potential source of leakage. This connection also works well in passive buildings, because it is an airtight and thermally strong connection.

Additionally, in the ThermontPLUS® variant :

  • No thermal bridges (OSB board on the inside of the roof)
  • No need to cut the inner sheet metal during assembly
